Sister Mary Lou Owczarzak, MSSp. celebrated 60 years in religious life at the Jubilee Mass for Religious on April 16. Sister Mary Lou entered the community of the Mission Sisters of the Holy Spirit in the Diocese of Saginaw on Sept. 8, 1964.

Her ministry was focused on religious education and formation with the communities of Holy Spirit Parish, St. Athanasius Parish, St. Anthony Parish in Saginaw and Assumption Parish in Larkin. Since retiring in 2013, Sister Mary Lou volunteers as a Eucharistic Minister at Covenant Hospital and visits the sick and dying.
