Diocesan Day of Enrichment: Forming Intentional Disciples

The next diocesan enrichment day topic will be focused on topics in the book Forming Intentional Disciples. The keynote speaker will be Katherine Coolidge, Director for Parish and Diocesan Services at the Catherine of Siena Institute. Katherine has worked very closely with Sherry Weddell, the author of Forming Intentional Disciples, on spreading the messages of the book and coordinates all activities associated with the Called & Gifted charism discernment process. 

The day will also include breakout presentations on related topics from the clergy and staff members from across the diocese. Please mark your calendars to join us for this inspiring day.


Pro-Life Teen Rally

Learn what it means to be pro-life at this teen rally sponsored by the Huron County RIght to Life. The interactive educational event will include Q&A opportunities and will provide teens information about right-to-life issues. Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, prizes and breakout sessions, as well as receive a free T-shirt.


Emmaus Grief Retreat

The Emmaus Grief Retreat offers a time for parents grieving the loss of their children to come together in fellowship with others who have walked a similar path. The day will consist of prayer services, a witness talk by a parent who has experienced the death of a child, small group sharing, lunch and dinner in community with other parents on the retreat, the Vigil Mass at the parish and a candle lighting ceremony with candles with a photo of each child being remembered. Nothing will be forced, and each parent is free to decide what sessions they want to attend, or if they simply want time alone in the chapel.

Preparing for a covenant marriage between God and an engaged couple provides a solid foundation for moving forward as you journey together as husband and wife with Christ at the center of your relationship and marriage. Engaged couples in need of marriage preparation are invited to attend this one-day event, which will include presentations by other couples and a priest on the Sacrament of Marriage, the Catholic marriage ceremony, family of origin, conflict resolution, the five love languages and four temperaments, intimacy and natural family planning. This is an interactive day with opportunities to join with other engaged couples, learn skills of communication and ways to build up your relationship through prayer and awareness, as well as discussing topics of interest as a couple.

Eucharistic adoration and healing service to follow

All are welcome to encounter the love and mercy of the Divine Physician during an evening of healing with Bishop Robert Gruss and priests of the Diocese. The evening will include the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, Eucharistic adoration, praise and worship music and a healing service with prayer teams.
