Faithful from across the Tri-City area gathered at St. Brigid of Kildare Parish in Midland to remember and bear witness to Jesus’ passion and death on Good Friday. About 150 people of all ages gathered to pray the Stations of the Cross, continued with a Cross Walk throughout surrounding neighborhoods and ended with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at the church. As the group walked in the neighborhood around St. Brigid, several community members approached with prayer requests. These were written down, carried and placed on the large wooden cross near the altar, where they were offered up with the Divine Mercy Chaplet prayers. Father Andy Booms, Deacon Al Oliver and Father Adam Maher led the prayers and the Cross Walk.
