Bishop Gruss: There are one, two, three or four men in your parish whom God is calling to the priesthood

On Thursday, September 12, faithful from across the Diocese of Saginaw gathered in Bay City for the Bishop's Banquet for seminarian education and vocations.

During his address, Bishop Gruss emphasized how important it is for each of us to invite young men in our parishes to consider a vocation to the priesthood.

“80% to 88% of young men who have been invited [to consider the priesthood] seriously consider it,” said Bishop Gruss. He went on to share, “There’s at least one, two, three of four men in your parish whom God is calling to the priesthood.”

Bishop Gruss also asked the faithful of the Diocese to join him at his Holy Hours for vocations when he comes to a nearby parish. He closed by thanking everyone for joining him in the important work of supporting vocations.
